The Foundation

What is Ki?

In Japanese tradition, Ki (氣) is the vital life force that flows through every living being. It is the invisible energy that animates body, mind, and spirit — the subtle current that connects inner stillness to outer expression.

When Ki flows freely, we feel clear, grounded, and at ease. When it becomes blocked or depleted, we experience fatigue, tension, and disconnection — from ourselves and from the world around us.

Ki Tuning is the art of listening to that energy — and gently, precisely guiding it back into harmony.

The Practice

About the Alignment

Each alignment is a deeply personal, one-on-one experience conducted in a private, serene environment. Drawing from Japanese Ki philosophy and subtle energy work, the practitioner reads the body's energetic field and applies precise, gentle techniques to restore flow.

This is not a treatment you receive passively. Your alignment is a conscious process — one that invites your body's own intelligence to surface, recalibrate, and lead.

Many clients notice a profound shift — not just in how they feel physically, but in how they think, perceive, and relate to themselves — after just one alignment.

What to Expect

The Experience

Deep Relaxation

As Ki begins to move, the nervous system settles into a state of restful awareness. Tension held in muscles, joints, and tissues softens naturally — without force.

Energetic Release

Stagnant Ki — often accumulated through stress, emotion, or physical imbalance — is gently guided outward. Clients often describe a feeling of lightness and unburdening.

Inner Clarity

With the field clear and energy restored, the mind quiets and perception sharpens. Decisions become easier. Emotions feel more spacious. Your center returns.

The Process

How It Works

1

Arrival & Settling

You are welcomed into a private, tranquil space — designed to slow the mind before the alignment begins. A brief conversation allows the practitioner to understand your current state, intentions, and any areas of focus. Nothing is required of you except presence.

2

The Alignment

Fully clothed, you recline on a treatment table. The practitioner works with hands positioned at key energy meridians — some with gentle contact, some without. You may feel warmth, tingling, or waves of release. Many clients fall into a deeply restorative state. The work lasts approximately 75 minutes.

3

Integration

The final 15 minutes are reserved for stillness and integration. The practitioner briefly shares observations from the alignment. You are given space to return gently — with time to note any impressions before re-entering your day.

  • A spiritual ritual or religious practice

  • A performance — requiring belief, effort, or preparation

What this is

The Practice Behind the Work

Art of Nippon

Art of Nippon is a private wellness practice dedicated to transmitting the subtle arts of Japanese energy work to those who are ready to receive them.

Rooted in a lineage of Japanese Ki traditions — and informed by decades of embodied practice — Art of Nippon offers a rare encounter with the kind of precision and depth that cannot be found in mainstream wellness offerings.

These alignments are offered in limited number, to clients who come with genuine intention. Each alignment carries the full weight of this practice behind it.

The Team

Younga Park

Reina Ueno

Ki Alignment Practitioner

Reina Ueno was raised in a family with a natural sensitivity to the unseen realm of Ki. Her great-grandmother was a mudang — a practitioner within Korean shamanic tradition — known for working with the deeper layers of human experience.

While rooted in this background, Reina has not approached it as belief, but has spent years examining and integrating it through the tangible field of the body.

For over a decade, she has dedicated herself to the exploration of the relationship between body and energy, working with a wide range of clients and accumulating extensive hands-on experience. Alongside this, through the practice and teaching of structured, body-based methodologies, she has refined a distinctive sensitivity that bridges both theory and lived experience.

In her sessions, rather than relying on surface-level techniques, she works quietly with deeper patterns and areas of stagnation. Through addressing accumulated tension and unarticulated discomfort, she creates the conditions in which the body's innate capacity for regulation can naturally emerge.

Across her work, changes have been observed not only in physical condition, but also in emotional stability, clarity of thought, and even in the overall direction of one's life.

This work is not about adding anything new. It is about remembering what is already within.

Tatsuo Ueno

Tatsuo Ueno

Certified Ki Alignment Practitioner

Tatsuo Ueno has practiced Ki Tuning for over a decade. Raised within Japan's spiritual traditions — Zen, martial arts, and the quiet disciplines of everyday Japanese life — he carries an embodied understanding of what the West has come to call mindfulness. For him, it is not a technique to be learned, but a way of being that has been passed down through generations.

This depth of presence, combined with a rigorous knowledge of the meridian system and the energetic architecture of the human body, forms the foundation of his approach. He has worked with clients navigating chronic stress, emotional stagnation, and a pervasive sense of disconnection from self. His sessions are unhurried and deeply attentive — guided by the Japanese principle of moving not against, but with the natural flow of things. A session with Tatsuo is not about being changed. It is about remembering what was always there.
